The Brampton Valley Way (NCN6) runs alongside the Northampton & Lamport Railway. This location marks the end of current railway operation; NCN 6 on the left shares the railway route South towards Northampton

Rest stop at the North portal after riding through Oxenden Tunnel, on the Brampton Valley Way. NCN6. This tunnel is very dark, no lighting provided!

Canal towpath here looks attractive for gentle leisure cycling in the Northamptonshire countryside but unfortunately soon reverts back to grass beyond the moorings.

NCN50 signs

Green lane with public access

National trust bike parking at Canons Ashby - just a pair of wooden poles next to the bins. The poles have with small metal loops presumably for locking to but none of these users had used them.

Cycle Parking at National Trust property Canons Ashby is discretely hidden behind a thick hedge but at least its close to the tea room.

Blind junction where route 50 dog-legs across the A5 on a shared use path to Kilsby Road. Unlike the universally-ignored cyclists dismount on the other side of the road, at this point cyclist really do need to take care.
